BetMGM already boasts the right to offer branded online casino games from some of the most recognizable names in television, from The Price Is Right to Friends and many more.
Now, it has added one of the most iconic reality TV shows to its intellectual property rights portfolio, one it hopes will allow it to outwit, outplay and outlast the competition in the U.S. iGaming market.
The operator announced on Thursday that it has secured exclusive rights to develop Survivor-branded online casino games. BetMGM’s use of the Survivor name, logo and visual likenesses is made possible through a partnership with Jogo Global andBanijay Rights, the global distribution arm of Survivor rights ownerBanijay Entertainment. The deal extends not only to the games themselves but also to related marketing and promotional initiatives.
BetMGM launched the first titles on its online casino platform this month, Survivor Triple Challenge and Survivor – Outwit – Outplay – Outlast, to coincide with the 50th season of the long-running TV staple, hosted by Jeff Probst (pictured). It will add more throughout the month asBetMGM Casino ultimately builds its Survivor portfolio to a minimum of 10 separate titles across multiple game formats.
“Bringing exclusive Survivor content to our players underscores BetMGM’s commitment to building a legendary powerhouse of entertainment,” said BetMGM Vice President of Gaming Oliver Bartlett. “The show’s instantly recognizable brand and competitive spirit make Survivor a pillar in our growing portfolio of exclusive content.”
Banijay Rights SVP of Gaming and Gambling Mark Woollard said that, as Survivor’s 50th season continues to air on CBS, “we are looking forward to seeing fans finally being able to engage in Survivor casino content.”
“We’re proud to help bring the strategy, intensity, and competitive spirit of Survivor into real-money gameplay in a way that feels authentic to the brand and compelling for U.S. players,” added Jogo Chief Executive Officer David Marcus.
BetMGM adds to tribe of TV content
BetMGM noted in a press release that its online casino platform now features more than 7,000 games across North America. Its IP portfolio has become a crown jewel for the operator.
The company already holds the exclusive rights to develop and offer games branded under a range of TV shows and films, including The Price is Right and Family Feud via a deal with Fremantle that was first unveiled in January 2025. Like the Survivor collaboration, BetMGM’s Fremantle deal makes it the only gaming operator authorized to develop games using those renowned TV brands.
BetMGM has also struck deals to lean on other pop culture staples. It hosts a suite of The Wizard of Oz slots from Light & Wonder in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, and last summer teamed up with London-based studio Atlantic Digital to introduce the first-ever online slot based on the hit NBC sitcom Friends.
The MGM Resorts International and Entain joint venture also leveraged a prominent position with Wheel of Fortune. While International Game Technology (IGT) provides land-based and online casino games under that brand to a variety of operators, BetMGM operates a standalone Wheel of Fortune online casino app in New Jersey and Ontario. It also established a firm on-screen presence via an agreement with Fremantle that includes BetMGM messaging and activations during Wheel of Fortune TV broadcasts.
BetMGM claims 21% iGaming market share
All that landmark content has helped to establish BetMGM Casino as one of the biggest online casino platforms in North America.
CEO Adam Greenblatt called iCasino “the powerhouse and anchor of our business” on a February earnings call, in which he stated that the company’s online casino market by revenue is 21% across its active markets.
“I think we’ve got our strategy right,” Greenblatt said at the time. “We have the widest range of games, we have exclusive games, we are the home of entertainment titles, we’ve got bespoke games that we build for our team partners supporting cross-sell. I think you put all that together, we have a fairly compelling, differentiated iGaming offering.”
