If you’re an online casino player and a Friends fan, BetMGM will be there for you.
The operator has teamed up with London-based studio Atlantic Digital to introduce the first-ever online slot based on the hit NBC TV show.
Set in Monica Geller and Rachel Green’s iconic and puzzlingly affordable New York City apartment, ‘The One With the Multi Drop’ features the likenesses of the six main cast members and an instrumental version of the show’s theme song, ‘I’ll Be There For You’ by The Rembrandts.
Whether any smelly cats will feature is unclear, but certain memorable phrases from the show such as Joey Tribbiani’s “How you doin’?” and Ross Geller’s insistent instruction to “PIVOT!” feature during the gameplay.
The game is a 6×5 cluster title featuring multi-drop multipliers that accumulate during free spins.

The title has launched in New Jersey and Michigan, and is expected to extend into further states in the coming months. Atlantic Digital is also working on more Friends-themed games exclusively for BetMGM, because (in Chandler Bing‘s voice) could there be enough Friends content?
“BetMGM is proud to be the first to bring Friends to iGaming and offer players a new way to engage with the familiar sights and sounds of the show,” said BetMGM VP of Gaming Oliver Bartlett. “Atlantic Digital recognises the nostalgia and captivating moments of the best television and movie IP and truly brings them to life for iGaming.”
As Bartlett alluded to, Atlantic Digital has a pedigree in turning TV shows and movies into playable games. It already offers titles based on Cheers, Star Trek, The Godfather and more.
“Friends is one of the most iconic and beloved television shows of all time,” said the studio’s CEO Sam Hobcraft. “Bringing it to life in an interactive casino format has been both a privilege and a creative challenge.
“Our mission is to merge world-class entertainment IP with innovative gameplay, and Friends: The One With the Multi Drop is a perfect example of that. We’re thrilled to partner with BetMGM to deliver this exclusive experience to players in the U.S.”
Friends is the latest addition to BetMGM’s branded portfolio. It has used the Wheel of Fortune brand for a while now, and back in January, it acquired from Fremantle the IP rights to Family Feud and The Price is Right for online casino, giving it the right to develop or contract with gaming technology partners to build new games under the brands.
