A group of leading daily fantasy sports (DFS) operators have launched a national self-exclusion program to encompass all 50 U.S. states and D.C.

PrizePicks, Underdog, Dabble and Splash Sports have an existing partnership with idPair through their membership of the Coalition for Fantasy Sports (CFS). SBC Americas reached out to the CFS and to Betr seeking clarity on why Betr, the fifth member of the coalition, is not included in this latest initiative.

The CFS members’ voluntary self-exclusion (VSE) program leverages idPair’s proprietary technology to provide a single, streamlined process for users to block themselves. idPair and the coalition first rolled out a VSE in Nebraska and New Mexico in 2024 and expanded it to 13 new states last year.

Now, it will span all 50 states. The operators said this marks the first time in history that a single, integrated self-exclusion mechanism will span the entire nation across multiple operators.

“By expanding this operator-led program to all 50 states, we’re making sure that when someone raises their hand and asks for help, safeguards show up for them everywhere,” said idPair Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Aiwazian.

Self-exclusion program could include prediction markets

A press release noted that the program has the capacity to span several gaming verticals, including DFS, online casino-style gaming, digital sports entertainment and more.

Amid the high-profile expansion of online gaming operators into prediction markets, both PrizePicks and Underdog now offer event contract trading on sports, entertainment and more in various U.S. jurisdictions, and non-participating CFS member Betr soon will launch predictions. A PrizePicks spokesperson confirmed to SBC Americas that prediction markets is one vertical that could be covered by the self-exclusion platform.

The release also noted that idPair and its operator partners are “actively inviting” other national operators to join the exchange.

“We have always prioritized player well-being,” said PrizePicks Senior Director of Responsible Gaming Phil Sherwood. “By taking this program national, we are ensuring that our commitment to responsible gaming is as expansive as our footprint. We are proud to be a founding member of a movement that puts the person before the product.”

Underdog already has an existing relationship with idPair through its GuardDog responsible gaming innovation fund, which selected idPair two years ago with the intent of utilizing its technology to help advance safer play on Underdog’s platform and for the industry. Underdog Vice President of Responsible Gaming Adam Warrington said the 50-state rollout is proof of concept for that intent.
