As one of several historically sports betting-focused operators investing in iGaming, bet365 tracks performance trends in online slots across several key U.S. online casino markets.
Each month, the British operator issues its Gaming Insights and Performance report, which provides data from more than 20 of its operational iCasino markets worldwide. On the U.S. front, the breakdown includes specific looks at three core U.S. iGaming states:
- Michigan
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
The reports use an algorithm that takes into account metrics such as revenue, stakes, sessions and engagement across around 7,500 online slots titles on its casino platform.
Playtech takes top spot in Michigan in July
The July report from bet365 found that Playtech’s Oink Oink Oink: Pharaohs title made a big impact in Michigan’s market last month, taking the top spot as a new entrant to the state.
The Playtech game knocked ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways out of the No. 1 position and down to No. 2, while another new title, Boom Entertainment’s Lucky Money Dinos, came straight in at No. 3.
The biggest movers among the pre-existing online slots were Divine Fortune Gold, from Evolution subsidiary studio NetEnt, and IGT’s Fortune Coin, which each leaped 23 positions to rank fifth and sixth, respectively. An IGT classic, Cash Eruption, was fourth.

Soccer slot ranks highly in New Jersey in World Cup month
Cash Eruption also ranked highly in New Jersey, although it slipped one place to third. Above it were Design Works Gaming’s Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap, which climbed from fourth to take the No. 1 spot, and Light & Wonder’s 88 Fortunes, which rose five spots to No. 2.
Meanwhile, during the month that included the later stages of the FIFA World Cup, the biggest mover in the Garden State in July on bet365 was a slot called Soccer Showdown, which jumped 23 places to land in fourth.

Two out of three for Cash Eruption in Pennsylvania
The Cash Eruption theme continued in Pennsylvania, as the franchise’s High Stakes edition rose from second to first in July and the flagship online title also put up a podium finish, in third. Sandwiched between them was a new entrant, another IGT title called Double Top Dollar.
Below that, Capital Gains from AGS rose four spots to No. 4, and another new entry, the football-focused Big Kick LuckyTap from Design Works Gaming, rounded out the top five.

As well as the three U.S. markets, bet365’s Gaming Insights and Performance report also includes online slots data from some of the largest international gaming markets, including several European nations, Brazil, and the Canadian regulated iGaming provinces of Ontario and Alberta.
bet365 found that IGT’s Cleopatra Keno was its No. 1 slot title in Alberta in that market’s first few weeks. Alberta opened for business as Canada’s second regulated online gambling jurisdiction on July 13.
