Ahead of Enteractive’s attendance at SBC Summit Latinoamérica, Kelly Micallef, B2B Sales Executive, outlines the biggest opportunities within the Latin American market.
She discusses how Enteractive is leading the race for player conversion and reactivation services, and how important localisation is to standing out in Latin America.
SBC: How has the online gambling sector in Latin America evolved in recent years, and where do you see it heading?
KM: The Latin American online gambling sector has evolved in many ways, such as seeing a growing trend of legalization and regulation in several countries, driven by increasing internet and smartphone accessibility. However, challenges such as payment processing and responsible gambling initiatives persisted. Looking ahead, the industry’s future hinges on continued regulatory developments, expanding markets, technological advancements, and an increased focus on responsible gambling measures, all of which could shape its evolution in the region.
SBC: What would you say are the key challenges and opportunities for operators in Latin America when it comes to player activation and retention?
KM: While the Latin American online gambling market holds promising opportunities for operators due to its growth potential, operators must also navigate regulatory complexities and competition. Successful operators will need to focus on localized strategies, responsible gambling practices, and innovative approaches to player activation and retention.
SBC: What specific outcomes or solutions do our B2B partners typically seek, and how do Enteractive’s services meet those demands?
KM: Who doesn’t want an increase in revenue and loyal lasting customer relationships? Here at Enteractive we promise to deliver! How do we do that? We give ALL players the VIP experience with just one personalized phone call. Today we have partnerships with some of the biggest leaders in the industry across pretty much all markets. Overall our partners have seen an extension of 8-10% reactivation rate.
SBC: With Miami being such a hub for international business, especially for the Latin American market, how do you think this event will benefit operators in the Latam sector?
KM: Conferences are always highly beneficial in general. With SBC focusing on LatinoAmerica, any operator who’s interested or investing within the latam market will definitely benefit from market insights, regulatory updates, and access to potential partners and investors. Let’s not forget the great networking opportunities and meeting new faces.
I believe these conferences serve as platforms for knowledge exchange and strategic planning, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of operators in the region.
SBC: What’s the one key message or takeaway you’d like our B2B partners and potential clients to know about our commitment to the Latin American online gambling sector?
KM: Our commitment to the Latin American online gambling sector is unwavering. We understand the unique challenges and opportunities this dynamic market presents, and our dedication is rooted in a deep understanding of the region’s diverse cultures, regulatory landscapes, and consumer behaviors.

SBC: Miami is renowned for its vibrant culture and attractions. Are there any specific places or venues you’re looking forward to visiting while you’re there?
KM: Everyone that knows me, knows that I’m a huge foodie! I heard that Miami has some great Multicultural Dining. Excited for some Mexican food in particular, definitely won’t let my belly down! I’d love to visit Little Havana & Little Haiti too and get to see the beauty of different cultures through food, music and art.
SBC: Travelling can be both exhausting and exhilarating. How do you usually recharge after a day of networking and sessions at a conference?
KM: After a long day, I just like to go back to my hotel room and enjoy some me-time . Whether it’s watching a series, putting my feet up and having a nice meal or just having a long nap to feel refreshed for the next day. I believe that the key is to find a balance between networking and relaxation. Don’t forget your eye-drops! Lots and lots of eye-drops!
