After more than a year with Richard McGuire leading the charge at Sportingtech, the company has brought on a new CEO. Tom Ustunel is stepping up to the post after working with the firm through his First Gen Consulting firm.

Andrew Lindley stepped down as Sportingtech CEO in May 2022 and McGuire stepped up from his role as Non-Executive Chairman into Executive Chairman.

“Sportingtech has been on an incredible trajectory in recent years, and 2023 saw unprecedented success which we are looking to not only replicate, but also build on. I am thrilled to be working with such a talented team of people across the entire business during what promises to be an exciting time as we look to further cement ourselves as the go-to provider for operators,” said Ustunel.

One of Ustunel’s focus for growth for the company in 2024 will be Latin America. The company is fresh off a win in the Platform Provider of the Year category at the SBC Summit Latinoamérica Awards.

Ustunel most recently served as GAN’s Chief of Gaming Operations, holding that post from March 2021 through May 2022. Prior to moving to GAN, Ustunel had a long stint working up the ranks of News UK’s betting and gaming division.

In addition to Ustunel’s appointment, Sportingtech has reorganized and hired a number of positions within the company.

The company also recently rolled out a new website courtesy of Vegas Kings.
