Superbook Sports has entered its ninth US state as it gained a license to operate in the sports betting market of Virginia

The operator, which first made its foray into mobile sports betting three years ago in Colorado, is the 14th licensee in Virginia which marks another milestone in its online expansion in the US.

“We couldn’t be happier with our continued growth. We are thrilled to be live in Virginia and feel confident that we have a great product with a strong history that will become a fast favorite of sports bettors in the region,” said SuperBook Sports’ CEO and Managing Partner, Mark Lipparelli

“Sports fans in the region can find all their favorite teams and get in the action with some of the best sports traditions in the country.”

The Superbook Sports app is now live on both Apple and Android devices and the firm noted that it will offer players and the media alike go-to resources, odds and information, for which states it is known.

Superbook Sports is the sportsbook brand of the Superbook Westgate Las Vegas, which has been operating since the 1980s. Under the tutelage of EVP of Race & Sportsbook Operations Jay Kornegay, the firm has spread across the country to nine states since its debut in 2020.

The other states that Superbook is live in include Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Kornegay commented on the expansion, explaining: “Going live in Virginia is a perfect complement to our quickly growing business in Maryland. With our heritage and the passion that fans bring in that area, it is sure to be a great fit.

“We pride ourselves on our expansive menu and will have great offerings for everything from the Commanders to the Ravens and the Nationals to our proud partners, the Orioles.”
