Scientific Games has promoted Beth Bresnahan to Chief Communications and Brand Officer.
In her new role, Bresnahan will be tasked with leading external and internal communications and customer proposals. She will also help manage advertising, trade shows, and events.
Bresnahan joined Scientific Games in 2022 and most recently served as VP of Strategic Communications. She has extensive experience in the lottery industry spending more than 10 years at the Massachusetts Lottery and the District of Columbia’s Office of Lottery and Gaming.
“This promotion will come as no surprise to those who know and have worked with Beth. Her strategic vision, extensive experience in brand communications, and deep knowledge of Scientific Games and the lottery industry have earned her the respect and support of our entire company and leadership team,” said CEO Pat McHugh.
Scientific Games says that the creation of the Chief Communications and Brand Officer role ensures a unified and consistent voice and a strong representation of the company’s brand across all platforms.
Corporate shake-ups at Scientific Games
In recent months, Scientific Games has made a number of changes to its executive structure.
In March, the gaming and lottery technology provider announced that it had consolidated its legal and public policy teams into the new Global Legal and Public Policy team.
The department is led by James D. Shultz, who assumed the title of Executive Vice President of Global Legal and Public Policy. Working under Schultz is Phil Bauer, who was promoted to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the division.
Earlier this month, Scientific Games also announced that it had appointed Mike Cardell as its Senior Vice President of Americas Systems.
Cardell is responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s Americas lottery system business, including expanding product offerings and driving incremental revenue.
