Snipp Interactive hires Tom Treanor to lead marketing strategy

Snipp Interactive has hired Tom Treanor as its Chief Marketing Officer, ushering the digital promotions firm to lead its communications and marketing output. 

An experienced marketeer, Treanor will be charged with guiding Snipp’s push to gain clients using first-party data strategy to strengthen their customer acquisition retention and engagement. 

Commenting on his new role, Treanor remarked: “At a time where first-party data strategies and driving consumer engagement and loyalty are such major priorities for companies, Snipp’s offerings are extremely well positioned to help them engage their consumers and generate more meaningful first-party data. 

“I’m excited to get the word out about Snipp’s technology and how the company helps clients strengthen their efforts across the customer acquisition, retention and engagement stages.”

In his distinguished career, Treanor has spent time as CMO for Treasure Data, a CDP firm, where he helped to shape the trajectory of CDP firms as a speaker at marketing conferences globally. 

At Treasure Data, he helped to lead the firm through the changing environment on digital channels while increasing digital customer engagement throughout the pandemic. Furthermore, he assisted to increase privacy regulations globally and oversaw the deprecation of third-party cookie use due to the rise of first-party data strategies, making him a suitable fit to lead Snipp’s marketing output. 

Elsewhere in his career, Treanor has plenty of technology experience, having worked for companies such as Booz Allen, PwC Consulting, HP and Sony Electronics. 

As part of his package, Treanor will receive a grant of 3 million stock options from Snipp, which will vest one-third in 12-months and then additionally on a monthly basis following two years. The stock options come with an exercise price of C$0.115 each.
