nVenue, a sports betting-focused predictive analysis and micro betting firm, has confirmed Geoff Reiss has joined its board of directors.

An experienced sports media and business executive, Reiss is currently the General Manager of Yahoo Sports and has spent time in senior leadership roles at Newsweek, the Professional Bowlers Association and Twitter.

Furthermore, Reiss has experience with ESPN, holding several roles with the sports media giant including managing its ‘The Magazine’ brand as well as launching websites for ESPN.com.

Via his startup Starwave, he also launched websites and media brands for NFL.com, NBA.com and Nascar.com, ensuring he has been at the forefront of sports media for several decades.

Following 30 years of industry experience, Reiss has joined nVenue at an opportune moment; the firm recently began predictive analytics for all 50 MLB games streamed on Apple TV+ for the 2022 season through a partnership deal with the MLB.

Moreover, in February the company announced a $3.5m seed round as it aims to further target the micro-betting industry in the US.
