US non-profit news agency Associated Press and sportsbook and DFS operator FanDuel Group have today announced a new agreement, under the terms of which FanDuel becomes the exclusive provider of sports odds across AP’s global sports report.

FanDuel Sportsbook odds will appear in AP’s daily sports odds fixtures, game previews, and other sports stories where odds are mentioned, while AP will retain editorial control of all content.

Both parties will also work to integrate FanDuel widgets across the sports pages of APNews.com, as well as distribute select the sportsbook’s content across the AP wire.

Barry Bedlan, AP’s Global Director of Text and New Markets Products, explained: “As sports betting becomes more commonplace, our customers are increasingly asking for this kind of information. It makes sense to work with one of the largest reputable sportsbooks in the United States to provide a consistent, credible reference point for AP and its customers.”

Adam Kaplan, FanDuel Group’s General Manager and VP of content, added: “AP is a globally recognized leader in trusted news, making them the ideal source for us to disseminate our industry-leading sportsbook’s proprietary odds and content.”

The agreement takes place with immediate effect, with FanDuel sports odds now live within AP content.
