BetMGM has put pen to paper with one of the world’s largest news organizations.

The New Jersey-based operator has inked an agreement with the Associated Press to become the news agency’s official sports odds provider across its global sports report. As part of the deal, BetMGM’s odds will have a presence in the AP’s daily odds fixtures, game previews, and other sports-related content that includes the mention of betting odds.

“People want trustworthy sports betting information, and we are pleased to work with BetMGM to provide a dependable and credible reference point for our customers and audiences,” said AP Director of Global Text and Commercial Products Barry Bedlan.

BetMGM is the AP’s latest odds provider after taking over for FanDuel. In 2021, FanDuel landed an exclusive partnership deal with the news organization, which expired this year.

In 2023, the AP averaged roughly 44.2 million monthly users.

BetMGM expanding its reach

BetMGM has made recent efforts to bolster its portfolio of partners.

The operator agreed to a strategic partnership in February with X, formerly Twitter. The pact, the first-of-its-kind between a sportsbook and social media platform, makes BetMGM the exclusive live odds provider for X. BetMGM is providing odds integrations in X that also have links that send you to the operator’s app and website. As of April 2024, X has more than 550 million active monthly users, according to tech data provider Exploding Topics.

BetMGM has also partnered with Marriott Bonvoy to offer a unique rewards program.
