PrizePicks is teaming up with one of comedy’s hottest talents.
The daily fantasy sports operator announced on Wednesday a brand ambassador partnership with comedian and actor Drew “Druski” Desbordes. As part of the deal, Druski will create original online content for PrizePicks and collaborate with the company on national ad campaigns. Druski and PrizePicks will also deliver specialty merchandise.
PrizePicks and Druski will also be leveraging their partnership to host events for DFS fans. The comedian will have a presence at the PrizePicks World Championship, a unique bracket-style tournament that sees celebrities and athletes compete with PrizePicks users. Last year, competitors and PrizePicks followers competed for a $100,000 grand prize.
Druski will also be included in media takeovers throughout the upcoming NFL season.
PrizePicks is already reaping the benefits of its pact with Druski after being selected as the title sponsor of the comedian’s inaugural Coulda Fest taking place in Atlanta on Sept. 7.
“I’m fired up to work with PrizePicks, we’ve done some cool stuff over the years and I’m excited to keep it coming,” said Druski. “Coulda Fest is a celebration of Atlanta’s culture that brings us back to the special times in our city’s history with a night of music and comedy. This concept has never been done before, so I’m looking forward to bringing this vision to life, thanks in part, to the support from PrizePicks.”
PrizePicks is based in Georgia with recent plans to build a new headquarters in Atlanta.
PrizePicks building a portfolio of partners
Druski adds to several recent celebrity-focused partnerships for PrizePicks.
In February, PrizePicks landed a marketing partnership with the Stephen A. Smith Show, making the company the exclusive DFS partner of the sports and pop culture program.
A month later, the operator signed an exclusive multiyear deal with UFC bantamweight champion Sean ‘Suga’ O’Malley. The deal includes the development of original content for fans, event appearances, and integration into O’Malley’s ‘Sean Reacts’ YouTube videos.
PrizePicks also has a brand ambassador deal with UFC superstar Justin Gaethje.
