MGM Resorts International has made a $25,000 donation to the Nevada Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce as part of its Pride 2023 celebrations.

Made at a ceremony during a Pride event at MGM Grand’s Level Up, the donation is part of MGM’s “commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion”.

“MGM Resorts is honored to support the Nevada Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in their mission of uplifting LGBTQ+ community through entrepreneurship and opportunity,” said Jyoti Chopra, Chief People, Inclusion & Sustainability Officer at MGM Resorts.

“Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to flourish, and we take immense pride in being part of a community that celebrates diversity and embraces inclusion.”

MGM also pointed towards its Supplier Diversity Program to showcase its “unwavering support” for diverse-owned businesses” whilst also trying to create a culture of acceptance.

The Nevada Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce aims to “advance the prosperity, equality, and inclusivity of Nevada’s gay lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied business community” through mechanisms such as referrals, education, networking, advocacy and supplier diversity programs.

MGM has also become one of the US’ “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality”, per The Human Rights Campaign, and has earned positive scores for 11 years on the Corporate Equality Index.
