Which online slots are resonating the most with players in various U.S. iGaming states? That’s the question that the bet365 Gaming Insights and Performance report seeks to answer every month.
The British online sportsbook and casino tracks performance across around 7,500 online slots on its platform, using an algorithm that takes into account metrics such as revenue, stakes, sessions and engagement.
The report encompasses more than 20 online casino markets worldwide, including five North American iCasino markets:
- Alberta
- Michigan
- New Jersey
- Ontario
- Pennsylvania
- West Virginia
The September 2026 edition included notes on West Virginia online slots for the first time after bet365 launched online sports betting and casino in that state in late August, the fourth U.S. market and sixth North American jurisdiction in which it offers both verticals side by side.
Hypernova Megaways tops slots charts in WV, MI
Starting in West Virginia, ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways was the first chart-topper in bet365’s newest online casino market, ranking at No. 1 ahead of a Jimi Hendrix-branded game from Evolution studio NetEnt that utilizes some of the guitar hero’s most popular songs. Another Evolution-owned studio, Big Time Gaming, completed the podium positions with its Extra Chilli title.
The online slots ranking suggests that West Virginia players went looking for prominent slots franchises in bet365’s first month of availability in the state. IGT’s Cash Eruption had three separate titles in the top 10 (fourth, fifth, and ninth), and Light & Wonder’s Huff N’ Lots of Puff placed eighth.

Hypernova Megaways was also the top game on bet365’s casino in Michigan in September, keeping hold of the top spot it secured in that state’s August rankings.
The Cash Eruption and Huff N’ Puff franchises were also represented in the Wolverine State’s top 10 for September, but there was a brand-new entry at No. 2: R.I.P. City from Hacksaw Gaming. Meanwhile, two Light & Wonder titles — Dancing Drums Tower and Ultimate Fire Link China Street — were big risers, climbing 26 and 20 places, respectively, to finish below IGT’s original Cash Eruption in the top five.

Three new slot entries in New Jersey
Cash Eruption High Stakes and Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand both placed in the top three in the oldest regulated online casino market in the U.S. in September, but it wasn’t either of those titles that took the top spot. Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap had that status after the Design Works Gaming offering jumped 11 places from its August ranking.
Elsewhere in New Jersey, Jin Ji Bao Xi – Endless Treasure from Light & Wonder and Playtech’s Alohawaii: Collect ‘Em were even bigger climbers as both finished inside the top six. Three new entrants also cracked the Garden State’s top 10:
- 7’s Fire Blitz Hotstepper High Limit (White Hat Studios) placed fifth
- Jin Chan Cash (Inspired Entertainment) came seventh
- 777 Hot Reels Supercharged (Octoplay) completed the top 10

It’s all Greek on bet365 in Pennsylvania
While East Asian themes were popular in New Jersey online slots in September, a slot evoking ancient Greece surged up the charts to No. 1 in Pennsylvania. NetEnt’s Parthenon: Quest for Immortality rose 23 places to outrank all other slots on bet365 Casino in the Keystone State last month.
The classic money-themed slot game from AGS, Capital Gains, placed second behind the Parthenon game, ahead of the ubiquitous Cash Eruption in third. The Huff N’ Puff series had two titles in the top seven in Pennsylvania in September, with Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand in fourth and the earlier Huff N’ Even More Puff iteration in seventh.
Hypernova Megaways, the No. 1 in Michigan and West Virginia in September, was eighth in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Canada slots figures from bet365
bet365 also tracks slot performance in its two regulated Canadian provinces, Alberta and Ontario, as well as the Canadian market as a whole.
The operator noted significant differences between the Canadian and U.S. rankings. In the nationwide Canada chart, Area Link Phoenix Firestorm returned to No. 1 after the slot from Games Global subsidiary Area Vegas dipped to No. 2 in August. That game was also No. 1 in the Ontario-specific chart.
The Amazing Link series from another Games Global studio, SpinPlay Games, had two online slots in the Canada top 10: Amazing Link Zeus in second and Amazing Link Zeus Boost, which jumped 35 places to finish third. The first of those two games was No. 1 in Alberta’s second full month as part of the bet365 slots report.
On the whole, bet365 stated that September in Canada was primarily characterized by strong momentum for online slots series Area Link, Amazing Link, and Gold Blitz. The latter of those is another Games Global series.
