In its monthly Gaming Insights and Performance report, growing online casino operator bet365 tracks player trends and game performance in online slots across its U.S. online casino markets.
Each month, the British operator provides data from 22 of its operational iCasino markets worldwide, including three core U.S. iGaming states:
- Michigan
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
The reports use an algorithm that takes into account metrics such as revenue, stakes, sessions and engagement across around 7,500 online slots titles on its casino platform. It only assesses slot titles, not other forms like table games or live dealer.
In the newest bet365 report, issued in September, the operator looked at the most popular titles in August.
ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways takes No. 1 in Michigan
After Playtech’s Oink Oink Oink: Pharaohs took No. 1 spot as a new entry in Michigan in July, that game vanuished from the top 10 in August. In its place, ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways returned to the No. 1 position it had held in June after finishing in second place last time out. bet365 noted that Hypernova has shown steady performance in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is one of the more consistently successful titles across bet365’s U.S. casino footprint.
IGT’s classic Cash Eruption game, which took a spot in the top four in all three of bet365’s tracked states in July, rose two places to sit No. 2 in August. There was a new entry in the final podium position, as Design Works Gaming’s Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap arrived in third place.
Numerous other iGaming titles retained their place in the top 10. Completing the top five, Capital Gains from AGS and the standard version of Oink Oink Oink both rose six places to place fourth and fifth, respectively. Meanwhile, Big Time Gaming’s Extra Chilli is the standout mover, jumping 14 positions to #8.
Cash Eruption variant tops New Jersey chart
Speaking of Cash Eruption, the Cash Eruption High Stakes variant of the IGT series surged 14 places to finish as August’s top slot in New Jersey. That replaced July leader Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap, which disappeared from the Top 10 altogether in the Garden State during the same month it arrived in the Michigan charts.
New at No. 2 was White Hat Studios’ 7’s Fire Blitz Hotstepper Jackpot Royale Express, while the exclusive bet365’s Pop-A-Shot LuckyTap, provided by Design Works Gaming, rose eight spots to third. Light & Wonder’s 88 Fortunes, which ranked second in July, fell two spots to fourth, and another Lucky 7’s title (Fire Blitz Win Boost) was fifth.
The well-represented Design Works Gaming had a new entry, as Dubble Bubble LuckyTap came straight in at No. 7. Hypernova Megaways returned to the top 10, rising two spots from its 12th-placed finish in July.
bet365 said that New Jersey resembles the mature market it is, “where jackpot, branded, and proprietary mechanics are particularly capable of driving rapid movement.”
All change in Pennsylvania online slots
In contrast to the more stable Michigan and New Jersey, Pennsylvania saw big changes in the bet365 slot charts in August. Lucky Larry’s Lobstermania Slingo from Games Global-owned Slingo Originals jumped 10 places to become the new No. 1. Cash Eruption crept up from third to second, while ReelPlay’s 10,000 Wonders 10K Ways climbed and climbed all the way from 49th in July to third in August.
Light & Wonder’s Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand finished in the top 10 in all three tracked states, with its fourth-placed ranking in Pennsylvania its highest finish in August. IGT’s Fortune Coin rose 29 spots to round out the top five, while Everi’s Super Jackpot Wild Gems and Blueprint Gaming’s Big Money Frenzy both posted strong new entries at seventh and eighth, respectively.
West Virginia data will arrive in September
While it has longer-standing presences in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, bet365 only launched in Michigan in April 2026 when it went live with both iGaming and online sports betting. It also added Alberta to the mix with a similar dual-vertical launch in that Canadian province in July.
Next month’s bet365 slot performance report will track game performance in another new market, as it launched both casino and sportsbook in West Virginia in August, its fourth iCasino state. The operator also subsequently launched sports betting only in Washington, D.C., in early September.
