EDGE Boost and Choctaw Casinos & Resorts are collaborating to deliver a new funding option that promotes responsible and safe financial transactions for players.
Choctaw Casinos & Resorts and responsible gaming-focused solution EDGE Boost have expanded their existing partnership to offer a new cashless funding option for brick-and-mortar wagering. The expanded deal allows EDGE Boost account holders to withdraw cash directly at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts, dissolving a need for customers to carry large amounts of money when visiting Choctaw Casinos & Resorts’ portfolio of properties.
EDGE Boost, powered by EDGE Markets, allows its Visa debit card owners to withdraw cash directly at betting cages and kiosks at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts properties. As part of the pact, EDGE Boost cardholders can withdraw up to $1m per day at the retail casinos.
“Our focus is on making the guest experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible,” said Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Senior Director of Cage, Credit & Digital Thomas McDonald.
“By giving guests more ways to access their funds, digitally or at the cage, we’re reducing friction and eliminating the need to carry large amounts of cash while they’re on property”.
EDGE Boost launched in 2024 as a responsible gaming and finance solution that provides users with a dedicated bank account and debit card for gambling transactions. The solution offers personalized spending limit suggestions and cashback incentives, providing users with a product designed to offer RG solutions while providing frictionless wagering.
EDGE Boost allows users to fund their gambling transactions for a slew of operators. The product allows users to fund their gaming activity without relying on credit cards or cash advances, as some of the largest operators in the U.S. outlaw credit card funding.
“We’re excited to support Choctaw in giving players more flexibility in how they access and use their money,” said EDGE Boost Chief Executive Officer Seni Thomas.
“Whether guests prefer to go cashless or withdraw funds at the cage, EDGE Boost helps make those options simple and accessible”.
US operators adjust how customers can fund their gaming
EDGE Boost is closing a gap in how customers can fund their gaming, as operators across the country adjust their policies to prevent the use of credit cards as a funding method.
Last month, BetMGM announced plans to stop allowing the use of credit cards to fund transactions for its online sports betting and online casino platforms. Its policy bans the use of existing credit card accounts and the linking of new credit cards to player accounts.
BetMGM joins FanDuel and DraftKings as operators in the U.S. to prohibit the use of credit cards for gambling. Last August, DraftKings implemented its ban on credit card funding, while FanDuel implemented its new nationwide funding policy earlier this year.
Quick start for EDGE Boost
EDGE Boost is providing a responsible gaming solution after closing a $17.2m seed funding round in March 2025 led by venture capital fund Bullpen Capital. Last year, the company also agreed to a strategic partnership with startup launchpad Defy the Odds.
The pact supports the development and operations of EDGE Boost.
The company also has a partnership with the World Series of Poker (WSOP). The deal makes the platform the preferred payment method of the organization and allows WSOP players to make transactions up to $10,000 each without traditional credit card verification.
EDGE Boost allows players to make entries up to $250,000, eliminating the need for cash.
