British operator bet365 is continuing to solidify its footprint in America’s gaming market.
The online sports betting and casino operator launched operations in Kansas, marking the 14th regulated market it has gained access to in the U.S. Kansas welcomed bet365 as the state’s seventh online sports betting operator. Bet365 debuted its online wagering platform in Kansas just ahead of the 2025 NFL season providing Kansas City Chiefs fans throughout the state with access to a new betting platform and a slew of betting markets.
Bet365 joins a competitive Kansas market that began offering both online and retail sports wagering in 2022. Kansas is also home to BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, ESPN Bet, Fanatics and FanDuel. The state offers retail wagering at three brick-and-mortar casinos.
New state launches for bet365
Kansas is the third U.S. market where bet365 has launched operations since March 2025.
That month, the British brand debuted in Illinois as a mobile and retail operator through a partnership with Walker’s Bluff Casino Resort. Less than a week later, bet365 entered Tennessee after being awarded a gaming license by the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council. Bet365 was the 12th online sportsbook approved to accept wagers in the state.
The operator is preparing for a market debut in Missouri once the state begins accepting online sports wagers later this year. Bet365 secured a market access agreement in Missouri with the St. Louis Cardinals. The multiyear deal also includes marketing.
bet365 commits to women’s sports
The operator spent the summer deepening its ties to women’s sports through the WNBA.
Bet365 landed a multiyear partnership in June with the Chicago Sky, making the operator an official partner of the WNBA franchise. As part of the deal, bet365 has logos and marks throughout Wintrust Arena, the Sky’s home arena since 2018. The partnership between the Sky and bet365 also includes promotional marketing on social media and TV.
The Indiana Fever also partnered with bet365 marking the operator’s second deal with an American pro women’s sports team. The deal provides bet365 with a marketing presence across the Fever’s radio broadcasts, social media and the team’s official app.
The Fever and bet365 will also be collaborating on fan activations.
Sportsbook licensing change in Kansas
Bet365 debuted in the Sunflower State after state lawmakers considered preventing licensed sportsbooks from extending their licenses in the state before 2026-27.
A budget bill, Senate Bill 125, was introduced as a measure that proposed preventing the Kansas Lottery from spending money to negotiate or enter into any contract or extension “of an existing contract for the management of sports wagering with any lottery gaming facility manager.” Lawmakers voted to pass the budget bill putting license renewals on hold. The state’s new prohibition on license extensions expires on June 30, 2026.
