Games supplier Greentube is ready to make contact with a new category of games in the catalog. The company launched its first title in a series of tapper games on Tuesday with the release of Piñata Blast as well as Hit Me Baby! These are the first two or what will be several releases for the company in the category.

Both games feature the simple mechanics of the tapper genre. In the case of Piñata Blast, players hit a piñata with a digital stick to reveal how much they have one. For Hit Me Baby! replicates the experience of the classic punching bag arcade game, where users touch the bag and the game reveals how hard the hit was.

Tapper games are particularly popular in the U.S. market. The simple games stand in stark contrast to complex, multi-reel slots and instead create an experience where the player touches the screen and learns immediately whether or not they won and for how much.

“Tapper games is an exciting new venture for us, as we continue to diversify our portfolio and cater to the evolving preferences of players,” said Director of Games Production and Operations at Greentube Bernd Baumert.

“With Piñata Blast and a diverse range of upcoming titles, we are opening the door to a new category of fast-paced games, designed to entertain and engage players in a fresh way. We believe that this type of content will be a key driver in attracting new audiences and further expanding our reach in regulated markets globally.”

Just last month, Greentube announced a deal with FanDuel for some of its major online casino markets in the U.S. The company partnered with Caesars earlier this year.

On a more subtle level, some of our most successful mechanics have been adapted with slight tweaks to better suit U.S. players when it comes to volatility, user Interfaces, and even theme choices all catering to local tastes and intuitions. In an interview with SBC Americas in March, Greentube U.S. CEO Ben Sunderland discussed the company’s approach to mechanics and how it influences the U.S. market.

“Greentube games that are live in North America feature mechanics that have proven popular in local markets, such as Hold N Spin. Market-specific content like Diamond Cash has also been developed, to cater to the preferences of the local audience,” he explained.
