Continent 8 Technologies has confirmed the appointment of former Amazon Web Services manager Carl Bonner as its new Regional Sales Director.

Bonner will be charged with leading the global solutions network firm’s sales strategy and helping to serve the increasing demand for its technology products.

The firm noted that the hire was necessary to meet growing demand as new jurisdictions switch onto regulated online gaming markets and new entrants require technological capabilities to power their platforms.

Bonner joins from Amazon Web Services, where he was a Senior Account Manager for three years. During this time he founded AWS’ betting and gaming division and subsequently supported numerous igaming operators.

“Joining Continent 8 allows me to share my passion for cloud-based solutions with operators and suppliers in the igaming industry, making them aware of the huge upsides they can unlock by utilizing the cloud,” Bonner said.

“I am thrilled to be joining such a respected business as Regional Sales Director and working with the wider team to not only meet but exceed our goals for growth.”

Continent 8 will charge Bonner with supporting its multi-cloud strategy and growing its customer base in its core gaming markets, including the US where the firm has a base of clients.

The multi-cloud strategy gives its clients access to a range of products including the Public Cloud, Private Cloud and Hyperscale Cloud.

Brian B. Koh, Chief Commercial Officer at Continent 8 Technologies, said: “I’d like to welcome Carl to our global sales team and look forward to benefiting from his unrivaled experience with supporting well-known brands in the igaming sector with cloud-based solutions.

“We are the go-to regulated cloud provider for the biggest operators and suppliers in the industry, and with Carl onboard, we will be able to better support existing customers and drive awareness of our solutions and services among those not already working with Continent 8.”
