Connectivity solutions provider Continent 8 Technologies has expanded its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has been chosen as an official solutions provider in AWS’ Solution Provider Program (SPP).

As an SPP member, Continent 8, which specializes in cloud and cybersecurity for iGaming and sports betting providers, will introduce a new range of services to AWS cloud environments and infrastructures.

The new managed and professional services will include a tailormade Regul8 Guardrails solution that facilitates easy-to-integrate compliance for customers across cloud environments while accelerating market entry timelines. A Managed Hybrid Network that combines the power of the Continent 8 and AWS networks will help operators mitigate connectivity challenges.

Continent 8 is the advanced partner in delivering 90% of AWS Outposts to major gaming brands such as FanDuel, Fanatics and Hard Rock Digital. Its new Managed AWS Outposts service streamlines the procurement, logistics, workload migration and ongoing management of AWS Outposts, allowing customers to focus on launch activities.

“The AWS Solution Partner Program milestone underscores Continent 8’s commitment to continuing its position as the service and solutions provider of choice to the iGaming and online sports betting market,” said Continent 8 CTO Edward O’Connor. “Whether it’s hyperscale, hybrid, public or private cloud management, Continent 8 remains steadfast in delivering trusted, bespoke, best-practice and value-added cloud experiences for our customers.”

New hire leading Continent 8’s North American sales

The expanded partnership with AWS comes under the watch of Continent 8’s new Regional Sales Director for North America, Jamie Garcia.

The former senior account executive at Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) was appointed to her new role in May. She previously spent over 10 years in the gaming sector and held senior positions at a number of companies including Scientific Games.

Meanwhile, two weeks ago, the company received approvals from the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) to operate in the Silver State. Continent has also begun using its partnership with AWS to strengthen hybrid cloud deployments for customers in Nevada.

Since the start of 2024, Continent 8 has made several investments in North America, including going live in Vermont as an infrastructure provider for the state’s three licensed online sportsbooks: DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics.
