Dreamscape Companies has revealed its plans to renovate Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, with an array of design companies unveiled as the contractors for the project.

Architectural and design firms Fettle, Gianpiero Gaglione Interior Design, Lifescapes International, and Marnell Architecture have all been announced as carrying out the work.

Fettle is an interior design firm that specializes in luxury hospitality and boasts a portfolio including Olivetta and Draycott in LA, Tavolina in London, and The Hoxton in Rome

Gianpioer Gaglione Interior Design specializes in both luxury hospitality and residential projects. Founded by Gian Gaglione in 2020, the firm has worked on high-profile projects in New York, London, and Singapore and will collaborate with Fettle on the Porte Cochere, reception, and circle bar at Rio.

Lifescapes International will design the entry drive, porte cochere area, and pool zone. Meanwhile, the firm will design the planting areas removing old and outdated plants and creating a new color scheme.

The company has worked on several projects on the Las Vegas strip including Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, Bellagio, and The Mirage, as well as other hotels including Four Seasons Macao and Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Finally, Marnell Companies will be the project’s architect and designer of record, charged with overseeing a team of operatives and designers to carry out the work.

The former owner of the Rio Hotel & Casino, Marnell has also got a body of work visible on the strip, including at Bellagio Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Remodel, both Aria Hotel & Casino and Caesars Palace convention center expansions, Park MGM and Wynn Las Vegas.

Dreamscapes’ new development and renovation will see a refresh of the 2,500 guest rooms, 150,000 sq ft of casino space and 220,000 sq ft of meeting and convention space, amongst other areas, as it seeks to establish the venue as one of Las Vegas’s most revered.

“The Rio has been an iconic property in Las Vegas for over two decades and we are thrilled to be working with such a talented and experienced team to bring our vision for the property to life,” said Dreamscape Founder Eric Birnbaum.

“We are confident that with the talent we have brought on board, from both an architectural and design element, we will create a new and differentiated experience for our guests to enjoy.”
