MGM Resorts International has agreed to a multi-year deal with the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) to become its hospitality and strategic partner and create new fan experiences.

Under the terms of the agreement, MGM Resorts and NFLPA will work together to produce content and fan experiences with current and retired NFL players.

The two parties will also collaborate on hospitality benefits for NFL players, as MGM Resorts properties will serve as a host venue for NFL player-related events.

“Partnering with the NFLPA is another indication of our strong commitment to the great sport of football across the US,” commented Lance Evans, Senior Vice President of Sports & Sponsorships at MGM Resorts.

“As football’s premier events come to Las Vegas, we look forward to welcoming players and creating world-class experiences for MGM Rewards members.”

Throughout the football season at Mandalay Bay’s Fan District in Las Vegas, the NFLPA and MGM Resorts will create opportunities for guests to engage with players and NFL alumni, including around the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl Games and Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas as well as the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.

Active NFL players and alumni can also agree to individual ambassador deals with MGM Resorts to promote the company via appearances, social media posts, autographed memorabilia, and advertisements.

“NFL players, past and present, will be at the heart of unforgettable new experiences through MGM Resorts International’s rewards program,” added Gina Scott, Vice President of Partner Services at NFLPA.

“We are excited about collaborating on world-class fan events designed to produce incredible benefits for MGM Rewards members and value for our players.”

Last month, the NFLPA and its group licensing partner, OneTeam Partners, agreed to a partnership with DraftKings to launch gamified NFT (non-fungible token) collections.

Facilitated by OneTeam, the deal gives DraftKings licensing rights for active NFL players, including the authentic use of name, image, and likeness on the DraftKings Marketplace.
