FanDuel customers can now wager on both sports and parimutuel horse racing via the same account.

The operator has rolled out the single account service following a soft launch last week, becoming the first US sportsbook to offer such a service as it continues to invest in improving its customer experience.

The new service is just one part of FanDuel’s push to integrate its sports offering with horse racing, as the sportsbook launched FanDuel TV earlier this year, a rebranding of the TVG network that previously showed horse racing exclusively.

“Horse racing is a big part of our DNA,” commented Amy Howe, CEO of FanDuel.

“This is a significant opportunity to expose a broader, engaged audience to the sport in a familiar environment.”

Through the same account, FanDuel customers can now wager on and stream racing coverage, as well as sporting events through its sportsbook.

Before the integration, sportsbook customers had to open a separate account alongside a separate wallet for parimutuel wagering on horse racing at FanDuel Racing or TVG.com.

The merged wallet/single account feature is currently available for FanDuel customers in New York, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, West Virginia, Wyoming, Michigan, Colorado, and Virginia, with plans to expand it to additional states early next year.

Earlier this month, FanDuel announced that it was bringing martial arts events to its FanDuel TV network for the first time after agreeing to a content deal with ONE Championship.
