Codere Online has notified investors of another boardroom change, as Alejandro Rodino tendered his resignation as a director, to be replaced by Borja Fernandez

The online division of Codere Newco confirmed that Fernandez, an experienced company director, has joined the board of directors pending a formal appointment from shareholders at the next general meeting.

Fernandez replaces Rudioni on the board, who served on the board since the business combination between Codere online and DD3 which occurred last November, steering the firm into its new era.

Rodino took on a role at Codere Group as Co-CEO back in July, after taking over from Vicente Di Loreto’s executive duties alongside Alberto González del Solar.

After taking on increasing responsibilities within the Codere group, Rodino tendered his resignation during a board of directors meeting, in which he also relinquished his duties as a non-voting observer of its audit committee.

Taking on the director title, Fernandez has spent over 17 years as a director in multiple boards as well as over 24 years of experience in private equity, structured finance, capital markets and corporate CFO governance.

Currently, Fernandez is a managing partner at Ahorro Corporación Financiera in Madrid, where he leads its Private Equity and Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) practices.

In a statement, Codere Online told investors: “The Company would like to thank Mr. Rodino for his service and valuable contribution during these months and welcomes Mr. Fernández to its board of directors.”
