Sportradar welcomes Jim Bombassei as new IR lead

Sportradar has confirmed the appointment of Jim Bombassei as its new Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Finance. 

In his new role, Bombassei will be charged with building and maintaining relationships with key investors and the wider global investment community. Meanwhile, he will also be charged with overseeing the sports data and tech firm’s Corporate Finance division. 

The new hire boasts “significant experience” to the role serving in both financial and investor relations roles as well as having exposure to the betting and gaming industry. 

He joins Sportradar from gaming firm SciPlay, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and oversaw the company’s takeover into the Light & Wonder group which was completed this year. 

Before this, Bombassei spent 30 years at Viacom, during which time he led the firm’s corporate finance and investor relations activities. 

Now turning his hand to the sports data and betting services space with Sportradar, the executive will be based in New York and directly report into the Chief Financial Officer, Gerard Griffin
