Codere Online is establishing a footprint in women’s professional sports with a new partnership in North America.

The European online sports betting and casino operator secured a deal with Club de Futbol Monterrey, a Mexican professional soccer club, to be the main sponsor of its women’s team. The partnership makes Codere the main sponsor of Rayadas with the operator having its logo placed on the front of the team’s matchday jerseys.

Rayadas will advertise Codere branding during its match on Wednesday in Texas against C.F. Pachuca for the chance to win the Campeón de Campeonas tournament.

C.F. Pachuca and Rayadas will compete at Toyota Field in San Antonio.

Last year, Codere partnered with C.F. Monterrey to be the official betting partner of the club’s men’s team. The partnership also includes branding on the team’s jerseys.

“Becoming the main sponsor of Rayadas was a clear priority for Codere Online since we started our partnership with the broader club,” said Codere Director of Sponsorships and Public Relations Carlos Sabanza. “It is an honor to support one of the strongest teams in Liga MX Femenil and to help drive greater visibility for women’s football.”

In addition to on-field branding, Codere is teaming up with Rayadas to provide activations and experiences for fans with the goal of bringing more attention to women’s pro soccer.

Codere faced potential NASDAQ delisting

Codere has established a presence in Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Panama and Argentina as a Spanish-language company that is publicly listed on the NASDAQ.

Codere was at risk of being delisted from the NASDAQ after failing to submit its annual accounting report. The operator delayed filing its 2024 annual report with the SEC. As a result, the NASDAQ notified Codere of a potential delisting before a deadline was granted.

Compliance issues in the U.S. aren’t new for Codere. In 2023, Codere also failed to file its 2022 annual report by the required deadline, resulting in a formal compliance warning.

Codere made “diligent efforts” to complete its filings in a timely fashion despite the delays.
