FanDuel will launch its online and temporary retail sportsbooks, in partnership with Boyd Gaming, later today in Kansas when the state soft launches its sports betting market.
From noon CT, FanDuel customers will be able to place a wager at either sportsbook. The FanDuel Sportsbook app is available for iOS and Android users, while the temporary retail sportsbook location will open at the Kansas Star Casino.
The official opening of the permanent FanDuel Sportsbook at Kansas Star – featuring Kansas native and former NFL wide receiver, Jordy Nelson, placing the ceremonial first bet – will take place next week on September 8 at 10am CT, the full launch date of the Sunflower State’s sports betting market.
Open all year round, the Kansas Star’s FanDuel Sportsbook will be over 2,100 square feet in size, and feature four betting windows, 28 televisions, 40 seats, and 20 IGT PlaySports self-service betting kiosks.
Users at either sportsbook will be able to place wagers on professional and college football, basketball, baseball, hockey, golf, MMA, boxing, soccer, and tennis with a variety of betting and payment options available, including same-game parlay bets.
FanDuel’s partnership with Boyd expands to seven states following the launch in Kansas. The Sunflower State also becomes the 16th state where the operator’s online sportsbook is available and the 16th jurisdiction where its retail sports betting is located.
