Digital sports media firm Playmaker Capital Inc has expanded its presence in Brazil by acquiring Futmarketing, a digital media and marketing group and an editorial consultant to soccer platforms throughout Latin America. Futbol Sites, a subsidiary of Playmaker, will manage the day-to-day operations of Futmarketing.
Futmarketing currently operates 82 Facebook fan pages, 22 Facebook groups, 16 Instagram accounts, and one Twitter account that in aggregate attracts more than 31 million followers.
The company’s most notable digital platform is Antenados no Futebol, a wholly-owned Brazilian sports news portal that specializes in Brazilian soccer content. It also has a partner network of 210 affiliated social media accounts that reach an additional 32 million followers.

Futmarketing played a key role in establishing Futbol Sites brand, Bolavip, in Brazil, and the company will boost Playmaker’s positioning in the region as online sports betting is planned to go live later this year.
