OpenBet has added a mobile-first Football Squares pools product to its Arena sportsbook content platform through a partnership with HotBox.

HotBox provides US sports fans with an entertaining way to enjoy football throughout the season by modernizing the classic pool-style game of Football Squares via a mobile-first product. Its interactive and patented marketplace concept allows sports bettors to buy, sell, trade, and bid on other users’ squares both pre-match and in-play.

The HotBox founding team said: “We are extremely pleased by the opportunity to partner with OpenBet. This platform opens a path to allow HotBox to be seen and utilized by sports fans across the world.

“We are excited for the igaming and sports betting communities to experience the only weekly squares pools on the mobile market, and believe that our innovative and differentiated product will bring a new peer-to-peer experience to consumers, both now and in the future.”

The Arena sportsbook marketplace gives operators access to products from a variety of third-party providers, elevating their offering through a single integration. HotBox’s product furthers this data offering and trading services for the US sports betting market, as its Football Squares product can attract new customers to their platform.

Nikos Konstakis, VP Sports Product at OpenBet, added: “We are thrilled to welcome HotBox to the Arena platform, with the brand providing unique solutions that allow users to apply their own skills of trading and hedging to Football Squares pools.

“This addition demonstrates the ever-growing appeal of Arena and the endless possibilities it offers to sportsbooks worldwide.”

Back in October, OpenBet opened a new hub in Tampa, Florida, allowing the firm to offer an extended 24/7 US Managed Trading Service (MTS) for the benefit of operators across North America and beyond.
