SBC Digital Summit North America launches Pay It Forward – Invite A Furloughed Friend initiative

SBC Events is giving all delegates at the upcoming SBC Digital Summit North America virtual trade show the chance to invite a furloughed or laid-off colleague to join them at the event free of charge.

The economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic has left many people in the betting and gaming industry out of a job and, in light of the unprecedented situation, SBC is running the Pay It Forward – Invite A Furloughed Friend initiative for its online conference and exhibition in July.

It works in a very simple way. Every attendee, upon registration, will have the opportunity to invite a friend who is out of work as a result of the pandemic to join them at the Summit.

Sue Schneider, SBC’s VP Growth & Strategy, Americas, said: “It’s been terrible to see so many people in our industry lose their jobs as a result of this pandemic and we wanted to do something to help some of them feel that they are still part of the betting and gaming community.

“By inviting a friend who has been furloughed or laid off to attend SBC Digital Summit North America, you can help them to stay up to date with the latest developments in the industry and give them the opportunity to make new industry contacts.

“We hope that all our delegates will fully embrace the Pay It Forward initiative and look forward to welcoming lots of these guests to the event in July.”

SBC Digital Summit North America, which takes place from July 14-16, 2020, will use an advanced technological platform to replicate the key benefits of a physical trade show and make them accessible to delegates from their homes and offices.

Delegates can look forward to five conference tracks – Regulatory, Online, Sports, Land-Based, and Innovation – with a roster of 75 high-profile executive speakers from the worlds of igaming, sports betting, casinos, lotteries, tribal gaming, and affiliate marketing.

The content will be accompanied by a program of Themed Networking Sessions, which will allow attendees to make new connections with people who have shared business interests. There will be further opportunities to connect during workshops showcasing the latest technologies, in the Virtual Networking Lounge, and via the event platform’s one-to-one chat facility.

There is also a 30-booth interactive exhibition that will see major industry suppliers and innovative start-ups display their latest products, along with a program of product presentations and Q&As throughout the three days of the event.
