Former Underdog executive joins Kalshi

Former Underdog executive Dillon Borgida has found a new role.

Borgida announced his appointment on Tuesday as head of private client sales & services at Kalshi. Borgida joined Kalshi after spending nearly three years at Underdog as a vice president of VIP and player experience.

“I’ve never been this hype for an opportunity in my life,” said Borgida on LinkedIn. “This company has a chance to be generational, and I’m excited to build in that environment.”

Borgida brings a wealth of experience in gaming to Kalshi as the prediction market navigates a U.S. landscape that is seeing the lines between trading and gambling blur.

The former Underdog’s experience in gaming includes stops at DraftKings and FanDuel.

Lotto.com makes key hire in HR department

Lotto.com has hired a new VP of human resources.

Amanda Coyle assumed the role on Wednesday, bringing more than a decade of HR leadership experience to Lotto.com. Most recently, she served as a director of human services at Screenvision Media. She also had a stint at PR and communications firm KCD.

Lotto.com also formally announced the hiring of Ruxandra Tereanu as chief operating officer. The company’s hiring of Tereanu as COO was initially announced in May.

Her gaming experience includes a stint at Flutter Entertainment under several brands.

Entain to search for new general counsel

Simon Zinger is reportedly relinquishing his role at Entain, having served as the company’s group general counsel and chief customer officer since 2021.

In addition to his role as general counsel, Zinger also helped guide the development of Entain’s ARC program, an AI-powered responsible gaming system that monitors activity.

Before joining Entain, Zinger spent 18 years at advertising giant Dentsu. His legal experience also includes roles at law firm Baker McKenzie and media company Vivendi.

Galaxy Gaming taps Anand Singh as CTO

Galaxy Gaming announced on Tuesday the appointment of Anand Singh as the company’s chief technology officer. Singh will be responsible for overseeing Galaxy Gaming’s technology strategy, while also leading the company’s engineering organization.

“We are thrilled to welcome Anand to Galaxy Gaming at such a pivotal moment in our growth story,” said Galaxy Gaming CEO Matt Reback. “Anand brings the technical leadership, industry expertise, and forward-thinking mindset we need to help us continue accelerating innovation and execution.”

Singh joins Galaxy Gaming after holding the role of senior director of engineering at Georgia-based software company Agilysys. He also has a background in gaming, having spent more than a decade at Light & Wonder where he held various roles, including executive director of software development.

Former DraftKings executive joins DubClub

On Tuesday, handicapping service DubClub appointed former DraftKings veteran Ed Silva as CEO. The hiring of Silva led to co-founder Lewis Burik transitioning to a new role as president. Silva joins DubClub with experience in technology and gaming that includes a decade at DraftKings.

At DraftKings, Silva held the roles of VP of product and head of NBA sportsbook. His employment history also includes stints at Prediction News and learning platform Nerdy.

“The DubClub team has built something genuinely rare, a trusted brand, a thriving creator economy, and a loyal subscriber base, said Silva. “I joined because the opportunity in front of us is massive.”

In addition to hiring Silva, DubClub also closed a funding round. The funding round included existing investors Uncork Capital, Renegade Partners, and Will Ventures.

DubClub did not disclose the exact terms of its latest funding round.
