PENN Entertainment is providing its online casino players with new golf-themed content.
The hospitality and gaming giant launched on Thursday its new PGA TOUR Blackjack game in multiple jurisdictions. The game is the first iCasino title offered by PENN with branding from the world’s premier professional golf organization. PGA TOUR Blackjack has debuted in Ontario and New Jersey with the game available on PENN’s standalone Hollywood Casino app. In March, PENN launched its standalone Hollywood Casino app in the Garden State. PENN’s online casino in Ontario is housed in its theScore Casino app.
PGA TOUR Blackjack was developed by PENN Game Studios, the company’s in-house game development arm. The title, which features PGA TOUR logos and themed cards, provides players with a traditional blackjack experience while offering poker and side bets.
PENN launched its new online blackjack game after securing a partnership with the PGA TOUR through its ESPN Bet brand. Earlier this year, PENN landed a deal to bring a live betting stream to PGA TOUR LIVE, which airs on ESPN+. The stream provides viewers with live betting analysis, insights and real-time data for the PGA TOUR’s FedEx Cup events.
The multiyear partnership also makes ESPN Bet an official operator of the PGA TOUR.
PENN has made PGA TOUR Blackjack accessible through ESPN Bet. It is planning to bring the title to its other licensed iGaming markets in the future pending regulatory approvals.
PENN bolsters ESPN Bet integrations
The company is making efforts to simplify the user experience for ESPN Bet players.
Last year, ESPN Bet began allowing players to link their ESPN and ESPN Bet accounts after PENN hired former Disney veteran Aaron LaBerge as CTO to improve integrations.
LaBerge is leading the effort to allow ESPN Bet users to wager on props involving players from their ESPN Fantasy football lineups. ESPN Bet also recently launched its Mint Club.
The free feature provides ESPN Bet players with exclusive promotions and rewards. The Mint Club is available to players who have linked their ESPN Bet and ESPN accounts.
