BetMGM is joining the ranks of sportsbooks spending big bucks for a star-studded ad during the Super Bowl.
Thursday, the operator announced it will be airing a commercial that features a trio of stars from the sports and film world. NFL great Tom Brady, NHL legend and BetMGM ambassador Wayne Gretzky and film star Vince Vaughn. With the announcement, the group dropped a teaser of what to expect:
“This year’s Big Game is our moment to put BetMGM front and center of the largest audience in sports,” said Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Our first-ever Big Game commercial showcases Las Vegas as home for the game as well as what we consider to be BetMGM’s home. We couldn’t be happier with the talent we have assembled for the ad, and the connection they have to our brand.”
With the Super Bowl taking place in Vegas, BetMGM is going big given the company’s presence on the Las Vegas Strip. BetMGM will host a number of events around the game, including a BetMGM Big Game Bash at The Cosmopolitan with musician Luke Combs.
Vaughn previously had a relationship with Caesars Entertainment, both serving as the emcee of the World Series of Poker and as an official ambassador of Caesars Casino. This will be the first time Brady plugs a U.S. sportsbook.
Last year both FanDuel and DraftKings aired commercials during the game. FanDuel has already announced it will bring back its Kick of Destiny campaign with Rob Gronkowski for a second round.
