The rollover from PointsBet to Fanatics continued on Tuesday with the switch of Virginia’s PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience Sportsbook to the Fanatics Sportsbook platform.

Users on the PointsBet platform will need to download the Fanatics Sportsbook app powered by Amelco going forward. However, those users can log in using the same credentials as PointsBet on the Fanaticd app and their balance will automatically be transferred to the new app.

This is the second rebrand in as many weeks for Fanatics following the first brand shift in West Virginia. This is now the seventh state with a Fanatics Sportsbook, joining:

  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Ohio
  • Tennessee
  • West Virginia

That now leaves five states offering the co-branded PointsBet, A Fanatics Experience on the PointsBet platform:

  • Colorado
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
Maryland (Fanatics Sportsbook also live in the state)
  • New Jersey
  • Pennsylvania

The Virginia switch comes just in time for Fanatics Sportsbook’s Rewards Surge, which will offer users seven days of promos and boosts around the Thanksgiving holiday. The Washington Commanders will take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, which will also be an opportunity for bettors to livestream the game in-app through Fanatics Sportsbook’s partnership with Genius Sports.

Moreover, with the switch, users can start earning anywhere from 1-5% back as Fanatics FanCash which can be redeemed in the merchandise store.

In addition to the Virginia announcement, the other news for Fanatics today is that it was part of a group of sportsbooks working to release a new responsible gambling campaign that will debut during NBA action on Tuesday night.
