IGT has penned a deal with Caesars Digital to create a new online casino slot title set in ancient Egypt to increase its bespoke content range.

Titled Caesars Cleopatra, the title has been specifically designed for the new Caesars Palace Online Casino that Caesars rolled out recently. Caesars Cleopatra is loosely based on the IGT title Cleopatra and leverages Caesars Palaces imagery to create a unique experience.

The title, which offers 20 paylines, is available for all Caesars Palace online casino players in the states in which it is live, those being Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, as well as Ontario.

“Caesars Cleopatra is an exciting example of the high-quality custom experiences that our players can only get with Caesars Palace Online Casino,” said Matt Sunderland, Senior Vice President, and Head of iGaming at Caesars Digital.

“This bespoke game blends familiar slot gameplay and graphics with new bonus features and visuals to create a compelling experience that we’re sure our players will enjoy.”

The game features “player favorite” symbols and mechanics and the bonus feature gives players the chance to triple their winnings and potentially win 10,000x their bet. IGT, through this agreement, is the only gaming supplier to offer a bespoke Caesars title on its new platform.

It comes as the PlayDigital unit of IGT provides a significant growth opportunity, as reported in the global firm’s latest set of accounts. In its H1 interim report, IGT detailed that the PlayDigital unit provided $59m in revenue, jumping 38% YoY. This was primarily driven by the iSoftBet acquisition but bespoke deals like this Caesars one will strengthen the division’s hand.

“IGT PlayDigital’s Caesars Cleopatra is a standout game that reflects the talent of our studio teams and the Company’s leadership in leveraging its vast omnichannel content portfolio to build players’ cross-channel affinity for our games while also helping our customers grow and differentiate their casinos through superior content,” said Gil Rotem, IGT President of iGaming.

“Offering bespoke content is just one of many ways IGT PlayDigital is strategically leveraging its vast content portfolio and maximizing the growth potential of proven omnichannel games, such as Cleopatra slots.”

Despite this move, a sense of uncertainty still looms around IGT at present, with a strategic review process underway with the potential for the global gaming and PlayDigital units to be spun off, with the global lottery unit the largest contributor of corporate revenues.
