Scientific Games has made three key appointments to build the digital and sports betting wings of its business as it continues to gather momentum in North America

Promoting talent from within its own ranks, SG has appointed Kira Summers, Merv Huber, and Amy Bergette to the VP rank within its hierarchical structure.

Bergette is taking on the most senior role of the three, stepping up to SVP of Digital Solutions where she will lead the team charged with defining, expanding and driving product and program innovations, managing Scientific Games’ thriving game studios, facilitating the growth and advancement of the company’s digital marketing footprint, and managing customer accounts.

Summers, who joined the firm in 2021, has been appointed VP of Operation and Planning for Digital. Previously she was General Manager of the company’s ilottery program in Pennsylvania, facilitating the effective planning, operations and P&L of the program. Now she will create and execute the company’s long-term plans for digital programs.

Finally, Huber has taken the role of VP of Digital Growth, responsible for driving the growth of customers’ digital business globally through product innovations and enhancements, expanded CRM and strategic marketing services. Previously, he was working on building the firm’s CRM solutions.

These appointments come at a time when Scientific Games is seeking to grow after its sale to Brookfield Business Partners last April, in a $5.75bn takeover from Light & Wonder.

“We are investing in people, products and technology platforms that give lotteries the opportunity to engage with their players across all channels,” said Steve Beason, President of Digital and Sports. “We’ve pioneered digital and sports betting solutions for lotteries since 2004.

“Now, in this next era we’ve redefined our strategic focus and growth paths to position Scientific Games as the global leader in digital and sports to help our customers responsibly drive revenues for their beneficiary programs.”
