Genius Sports has partnered with the XFL to become the league’s official betting data distribution partner and free-to-play provider.

Under the terms of the agreement, Genius Sports now has exclusive rights to distribute official data from every XFL game to its global media and betting partner network.

Sportsbooks will receive data for the football league, while brands and advertisers can access XFL data via Genius Sports’ all-in-one fan engagement platform – Genius Marketing Suite – which was launched earlier this month.

“For every sports league, an official data strategy that drives both new revenues and fan engagement levels is vitally important,” explained Sean Conroy, Executive Vice President at Genius Sports.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the XFL, connecting their games with the media and betting sectors while creating meaningful fan interactions through the bespoke XFL Pick‘Em solution.”

As part of the partnership, Genius Sports has also launched a new XFL free-to-play game – XFL Pick’Em – to help the league improve its fan engagement and grow its digital audience.

XFL Pick’Em sees fans predict the outcome of XFL games, including using football tokens to place various proposition bets related to games, players, and teams. Gamifying the experience with the football tokens, fans can create parlays to improve their potential score and ranking on the league-wide leaderboard.

Prizes such as XFL Shop gift cards are given to weekly winners, while the grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to the 2023 XFL Championship Game.

“We continue to align ourselves with the best partners in the business to drive innovation and develop new ways to immerse our fans into the action of the game,” added Wendy Bass, Chief Business & Legal Officer of the XFL.

“Genius is a leader in exploring the new frontier of next-generation fan engagement. By working with Genius, we can leverage their expertise across technology and data management to make the XFL a more compelling and dynamic viewing experience for the benefit of fans, partners, and stakeholders.”
