Content provider Design Works Gaming (DWG) was already prevalent on Golden Nugget in New Jersey, but the games are coming to another casino in the Golden Nugget family, DraftKings Casino.
Some games are available now, including Double Fancy 7s and Panda Queen, but there are several more games being added to DraftKings Casino soon. The content from DWG will live on Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming platform. The Arizona-based DWG signed a deal with what was, at the time, Scientific Games a year ago. That three-year deal gives what is now Light & Wonder exclusive access to DWG games.
Other games in the DWG portfolio include Panda Queen, Tiger Palace, Wild Empire, and its series of LuckyTap games.
“DraftKings is a brand that embodies competition. The biggest name in U.S. sports betting with a loyal, hungry player base. They’re known for keeping most operations and game production in house. So when they tapped DWG as a standout studio to help them dominate the slot side of the business, we were more than ready,” said DWG CEO Troy Zurawski.
Golden Nugget started hosting DWG games in December 2021. DWG has been steadily adding content to the online casino ever since. The list of US online casinos with DWG games has grown quite a bit in the past year. Just last month, DWG signed a deal with BetMGM to bring content to multiple state-level online casino sites.
