PlayStar is now officially live in New Jersey as the online casino steps up its expansion plans in the US.

Powered by Gaming Innovation Group (GiG)’s igaming platform, PlayStar aims to provide a unique online casino player experience via personalization, engagement and customer service.

The minimum four-year agreement with GiG – based on a revenue share model – enables PlayStar to benefit from its flexible technology and popular platform, positioning the firm for expansion in the regulated US market.

PlayStar has also partnered with Ocean Casino Resort to secure access to the limited license market in New Jersey, a state which has enjoyed significant growth and development since regulating.

“There has been a tremendous amount of work put into getting this far, and to now be live in New Jersey is a major milestone,” commented Per Hellberg, CEO of PlayStar.

“Of course, to have a great product you need a great platform and we’re very pleased with how the GiG platform has helped to bring our product vision alive.

“It’s only early days, but we’re seeing great numbers and confident we can build on that as we ramp up in New Jersey.”

According to a report by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, operators are now looking to capitalize on a market posting gaming revenue at 31% higher in August 2022 compared to the same time last year.

Richard Brown, CEO of GiG, added: “From the beginning of our agreement, we at GiG have been impressed with the extremely strong product vision at PlayStar, backed by what is a very experienced industry team.

“We’re delighted that our technology has played a central role in the New Jersey launch, and can be proud that, as PlayStar establishes themselves as a strong and innovative igaming brand in the US, the success of our partnership will further demonstrate and drive our ambition to be the platform partner of choice for operators in regulated markets.”

Last month, GiG also announced a platform partnership in Ontario with Kings Media, the operator of the King Billy casino brand across .com markets.
