MGM Resorts and its Entain joint-venture BetMGM have linked with the American Gaming Association to mark the inaugural Responsible Gaming Education Month throughout September.
Demonstrating its ‘unified commitment to responsible gaming’, MGM will focus on consumer education, community collaboration and enhanced employee training.
Throughout the month, the companies will share RG tips and information throughout their social media channels and directly with their customers.
Furthermore, the pair will collaborate with AGA on its ‘Have A Game Plan – Bet Responsibly‘ campaign, which aims to educate players, experienced and inexperienced, on responsible sports betting practices.
“We are proud to participate in RGEM 2022 and to let it serve as an additional platform to promote player health, as well as to increase awareness in the communities where we operate,” said Garrett Farnes, Director of Responsible Gaming, MGM Resorts.
“Training is a priority. Our employees serve as the front line for the company’s responsible gaming efforts, and we want them to be equipped with the skills needed to ensure guests are informed, confident and in control of their play.”
MGM Resorts and BetMGM underline GameSense stance
Moreover, the pair have reinforced their commitment to GameSense, an RG program licensed by BCLC in 2017, which takes a proactive approach to speaking with players about RG.
GameSense RG tips are sent to customers to over 35,000 TV screens across MGM Resorts’ hotel rooms in the US, whilst casino floors also feature over 22,000 slot machines with GameSense messaging.
Richard Taylor, Responsible Gaming Program Manager at BetMGM, added: “We’re excited to take part in an important campaign to help raise awareness and champion responsible gaming. Our primary focus is delivering exceptional customer service and responsible gaming is a critical element of our approach.
“Through GameSense, we empower our employees and customers to approach gambling the right way – for fun and entertainment.”
