FanDuel has announced it intends to launch its offering in Canada, beginning in Ontario later this month.

With the province’s igaming market opening on Monday, FanDuel has confirmed it will enter the market in April, subject to successful AGCO registration and execution of an Operating Agreement with iGaming Ontario.

Entering Canada for the first time, FanDuel aims to revolutionize the way fans interact with their favorite sports teams and leagues, offering users its FanDuel sportsbook with an embedded casino and standalone Casino app.

The FanDuel sportsbook is powered by IGT’s PlaySports and boasts features such as same game parlay bets, odds boosts, data visualizations and streaming options.

Meanwhile, the FanDuel casino will include 250 titles from categories such as live dealer, random number generation, and slot games.

For the launch of the app, FanDuel has partnered with Nuvei to provide users with a ‘seamless’ payment experience, allowing customers to use several payment methods including Interac, PayPal, MasterCard and Visa.

Additionally, with player safety a priority for the newly regulated market, FanDuel has partnered with Napier to provide AML solutions to ensure that users are protected throughfull financial crime compliance and safer gaming.

“We’re so thrilled to open our Canadian office and bring FanDuel’s world-class Sportsbook and Casino to Canada’s passionate sports fans,” commented Group CEO Amy Howe. “This is a huge moment for the industry and we look forward to providing Canadians with entertaining and responsible sports experiences.”
