Digital performance publisher XLMedia has confirmed the appointment of Caroline Ackroyd as its new Chief Financial Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors following the completion of her notice period with Jaywing plc.

XLMedia initially announced the appointment of Ackroyd back in November last year. She will be replacing current interim CFO Rowan Ellis, who will be reverting to his previous role as a financial consultant once the handover has been completed.

Commenting at the time of Ackroyd’s appointment, Stuart Simms, CEO of XLMedia, said: “I am excited to welcome Caroline, a highly experienced CFO, to XLMedia’s leadership team and Board.

“Her deep understanding and intimate knowledge of our sector offers tangible value and insights, especially in light of the dramatic progress we are delivering in US Sports.”

Ackroyd brings significant gaming and leisure sector experience to the role, alongside capital market and investor relations expertise.

When her appointment was announced last year, Ackroyd said: “I am really pleased to be joining XLMedia and look forward to working with the team to build upon the strong foundations in place and to deliver the next exciting phase.”

Last month, XLMedia appointed Julie Markey as its Interim Chair, due to Christopher Bell having formally stepped down from the position of Non-Executive Chair.
