Digital performance publisher XLMedia has appointed Caroline Ackroyd as its new Chief Financial Officer. She will also join the firm’s board.
Ackroyd brings significant gaming and leisure sector experience to the role, alongside capital market and investor relations expertise. The new appointee will join the firm following the completion of her notice period of up to six months.
Current interim CFO Rowan Ellis will be reverting to his role as a financial consultant to XLMedia and will work alongside Ackroyd to ensure an orderly handover.
Stuart Simms, CEO of XLMedia, commented: “I am excited to welcome Caroline, a highly experienced CFO, to XLMedia’s leadership team and Board. Her deep understanding and intimate knowledge of our sector offers tangible value and insights, especially in light of the dramatic progress we are delivering in US Sports.”
Ackroyd added: “I am really pleased to be joining XLMedia and look forward to working with the team to build upon the strong foundations in place and to deliver the next exciting phase.”
Most recently, Ackroyd held the role of CFO and sat on the board at Jaywing plc, which is AIM-listed.
Before Jaywing, she held the role of CFO from 2018 to 2020 at Push Doctor; Director of Commercial Finance from 2014 to 2018 with Sky Betting and Gaming; Finance Director from 2012 to 2014 for Coral Interactive (a subsidiary of Gala Coral Group); and several different finance roles with BSkyB from 2004 to 2012.
