Nueva Codere, formerly trading as Grupo Codere, has formed a new board of directors made up of eight members to help bring the business back to pre-pandemic levels and to put the group back on the path of growth.

With Christopher Bell assuming the role of non-executive Chair as an independent director, the firm has named three Class A and four Class B directors to complete the eight-strong board.

One of the three Class A directors is Vicente Di Loreto who retains the role of Corporate Director, a position he has held since January 2018.

The other two Class A roles are filled by independent director Aidan de Brunner and Antonio Moya-Angeler as a Qualifying Shareholder Director.

With over two decades of board, investment, and advisory experience, de Brunner currently sits on the board of several companies, including The Trafford Group (UK) Ltd.

Moya-Angeler worked for more than 15 years at Advent International in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, and France, where he became Managing Director and Member of the Investment Committee for Latin America.

The remaining four Class B directors are Laurence Biver, Isabelle Lambert, Mathieu Kakal, and Sandra Egan.

Commenting on the new board, Bell stated: “I believe that Nueva Codere has a promising future. The capacity and experience of the management team, together with the talent of the directors who accompany me, make me very optimistic about the new phase that the company is starting.”
