With the dust still settling on the momentous news this week that Canada will legalize single-event sports betting, Toronto-based firm theScore is already getting the message out to potential customers in its home city.

Following the Senate vote to pass Bill C-218, the company has placed three billboards along the Gardiner Expressway in Downtown Toronto, and also took out a placement at Yonge-Dundas Square.

The campaign is being used to share the company’s excitement about bringing its mobile sports betting product, theScore Bet, to fans in its home province, with the expansion of online sports betting in Ontario expected to commence later this year.

Aubrey Levy, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Content, noted: “The passing of Bill C-218 represents a milestone moment for Canada. We’ve been eagerly anticipating and preparing for the legalization of single event sports betting, and now we’re excited to celebrate this moment in our hometown of Toronto.

“These billboards are the beginning of our province-wide marketing rollout as we ramp up towards the expansion of online sports betting in Ontario, which is expected to commence later this year. We can’t wait to introduce the millions of theScore fans and users to our mobile sports betting product, theScore Bet.”
