Resorts World Las Vegas undergoes digital transformation ahead of reopening

Resorts World Las Vegas has outlined its ambitions to create “an unrivalled gaming experience” once its doors reopen on 24 June.

The venue will be driven by mobile technology and cashless wagering, in a move which has been praised as a “tremendous opportunity” to further the digital transformation of the consumer experience in gaming.

“Our vision at Resorts World Las Vegas has always been to provide first-of-its-kind experiences across every element of the resort, including gaming,” said Rick Hutchins, Senior Vice President, Casino Operations at Resorts World Las Vegas. “Through our partnerships with best-in-class gaming technology partners, we will offer our guests a fully integrated experience, not just on the gaming floor, but across the entire resort.

“The Resorts World Las Vegas mobile app will better serve patrons by providing loyalty and personalization based on their preferences for guests enrolled in our Genting Rewards program.”

In a bid to “redefine the traditional gaming experience”, the casino will allow bettors to make cashless wagers via the Resorts World Mobile app which was developed by JOINGO, a Sightline Payments Solution.

The app will allow guests to pay for any gaming, entertainment or hotel offerings while also being able to check their Genting Rewards account balances, receive offers and rewards.

The Resorts World Mobile App and digital loyalty card will also provide guests with “a secure, quick, and safe way to access funds without having to wait in line or handle physical cash”.

Bettors will also be able to utilize a digital login for slots and table games via Konami Gaming’s SYNKROS.

This can be loaded by visitors in one the three way, by depositing cash at one of the Neo Kiosks provided by NRT Technology; by enrolling in Sightline’s Play+, which will allow guests to connect to external funding sources such as a bank account, credit, debit or PayPal account; or at the player services desk.

“Launching cashless gaming solutions at the first major Las Vegas casino opening in a decade presents a tremendous opportunity for Sightline to further the digital transformation of the consumer experience in gaming,” said Joe Pappano, CEO of Sightline Payments.

“Resorts World Las Vegas will spotlight the impact that payments innovations can have on the integrated casino resort to the entire gaming industry. We are proud to launch the Resorts World Las Vegas Play+ program alongside this historic opening.”
