Jette Nygaard-Andersen, the new CEO of global gambling operator Entain, believes that that the company needs to challenge the status quo if it is to revolutionize the betting and gaming industry.
Speaking at a company event to mark International Women’s Day, Nygaard-Andersen embraced this year’s theme of ‘Choose to Challenge’.
She said: “Entain is a tech driven entertainment company and that means we bring moments of fun and excitement and it’s all powered by technology. So our purpose is to revolutionize the betting and gaming industry and this really means challenging the status quo.
“Challenging the way we think about customers, challenging the way we communicate in and about our industry and always aim to be ahead of the curve when it comes to customer-centricity.”
This exclusive video shares some of the highlights from the event, which also includes an interview around one of Entain’s new partners.
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, Entain announced that it had made a $250,000 donation to Girls Who Code to encourage young women working within the technology industry.
With the partnership spanning Canada, India, the UK and the United States, Entain believes that the scale of its support makes Girls Who Code one of its ‘most significant global partners’.
The Entain Foundation is also set to make a $50,000 contribution to The Tech Girls Movement in Australia – an organisation that ‘aims to challenge gender perceptions which limit girls’ participation in STEM’ subjects.
By offering a range of school-based intervention programmes, Tech Girls offers mentorship to young women within the technology industry.
