The American Gaming Association has confirmed the dates for its 2019 Responsible Gaming Education Week. It will take place from September 15 to 21 and will be backed up by a whole host of new resources for the association’s participating members.

In announcing the dates, President and CEO Bill Miller said: “AGA and its members prioritize responsible gaming as an integral part of our industry’s daily operations. We are pleased to announce Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW) from September 15-21, 2019 and release new resources for participating. RGEW brings together industry, advocacy, regulator and other key stakeholders to promote transparency and gaming literacy while showcasing our everyday commitment to responsible gaming.”

He added: “Educating and engaging the public about responsible gaming is on all of us. We look forward to bringing our voices together for a successful #RGEW19 in September.”

By way of preparation for RGEW, AGA will be introducing new, easy-to-use resources to provide ideas and inspiration. To kick off, the association has urged its members to consider three key areas, namely employees; helping customers make informed choices about their gambling; and working with non-profit partners in their communities to highlight their responsible gaming efforts.

Members can access specific ideas for each audience along with key messages, research and a sample quiz on the RGEW event page. In the coming weeks, the AGA will also introduce a sample newsletter, social media posts and more.
