bet365 has launched a new bet365 Fantasy Sports product in the U.S. to mark the kickoff of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on June 11.

The British sportsbook already offers online sports betting in 17 states and online casino gaming in three, as well as a limited free-to-play (F2P) offering. Now, it has added a F2P fantasy-style mobile game that it said combines real-world sports with fantasy competition and collectible card gameplay.

Developed through an expanding partnership with B2B sports gamification company LOW6, which specializes in F2P mobile games, bet365 Fantasy Sports is available to users aged 18+ across the U.S. and Canada, with the exception of the state of Washington.

How does bet365 Fantasy Sports work?

bet365 Fantasy Sports offers users the opportunity to collect in-app athlete cards every day, as well as to earn and spend coins, build lineups, and climb divisional leaderboards. Like typical DFS, the product uses real-life player statistics as its basis.

Customers can also strengthen their rosters through a training feature that allows them to spend in-game coins to improve player statistics and enhance performance.

bet365 specifically noted that it timed the launch to coincide with the FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico in June and July. The operator’s Head of Business Development, Trip Stoddard, said the new offering will give bet365 users more ways to engage with the tournament beyond typical sports betting or casino games that use soccer imagery.

“By combining real player data with the excitement of collectible pack openings, we’ve created an experience that feels authentic, engaging, and unique while allowing bet365 to connect with our fans during one of the biggest moments in global sports,” he added.

bet365 fantasy game will stick around beyond World Cup

bet365 already offers some free-to-play content, including:

  • Tournament picks challenges
  • Over/Under guessing game
  • A Prize Matcher feature

Its latest addition propels it into the world of fantasy-style gaming. And, while bet365 Fantasy Sports has been introduced in time for the FIFA World Cup, it doesn’t appear to be temporary; the operator said that it will offer competitions year-round, including mini-games during the off-season.

LOW6 Chief Strategy Officer Josh Turk said that the bet365 Fantasy Sports game puts the operator in a new category of interactive mobile gaming entertainment.

Michigan and Alberta add to bet365’s North American footprint

The F2P fantasy launch comes as bet365 continues to expand its real-money betting and gaming presence in North America.

The operator has expanded into several new U.S. states over the last 12 months or so, most recently going live with both online sports betting and online casino in Michigan in April.

Licensed in Ontario and operational in other areas of Canada, it has registered to launch as a regulated operator in Alberta when that province opens its doors to commercial online sportsbooks and casinos on July 13. According to comments made by Massachusetts Gaming Commission commissioners in April, it is also looking to join the Bay State market.
